Bud's Chili Soup

1-1/2 pounds ground beef
3 medium onions, chopped
2 cans (15-16 ounces) red kidney beans
1 can (15-16 ounces) chili hot beans
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) tomato soup
2 cans (16 ounces each) peeled tomatoes
2 level tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
1/2 cup ketchup, optional


Combine ground beef and chopped onion in fry pan with lid. Cook until done. Drain off fat. Combine all ingredients and simmer about 1/2 hour.
