What pro sports can I watch?

-- John Deere Classic -- For 36 years, the Quad-Cities has hosted the PGA Tour under various names, growing from a satellite event at Crow Valley Country Club in Bettendorf, through many years at Oakwood Country Club in Coal Valley, to the present-day $4 million John Deere Classic at Silvis' new Tournament Players Club course, TPC at Deere Run, which opened in 2000 at John Deere Road and Colona Road. This year's championship rounds will be televised nationally on CBS-TV. Deere & Co. is signed on as sponsor of the tournament through 2010. -- The Swing of the Quad Cities -- The Class A baseball affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals battles Midwest League foes in John O'Donnell Stadium -- completely renovated in 2004 -- at 209 S. Gaines St., Davenport, at the foot of the Centennial Bridge. The Swing host home games at 7 p.m., and at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays. (319) 324-3000; www.swingbaseball.com

-- Quad City Flames --The newest entry to the local sports scene, the American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, replaces the Quad City Mallards at The Mark of the Quad Cities. -- Quad City Steamwheelers --In their inaugural season, the Quad City Steamwheelers captured 2000's ArenaCup championship by posting a pro football record-setting 19-0 record. The 'Wheelers followed that up with an 18-1 title season in 2001 and remain arenafootball2's model franchise. The 'Wheelers play 16 games during the regular season, eight of them at home at The Mark of the Quad Cities. -- Cordova Dragway Park -- This historic track offers a summertime of drag-racing events, including the International Hot Rod Association's Summer Nationals in June and the World Series of Drag Racing every August.
