Information needed for internet programs



Many Internet programs will ask you for information about your online connection as part of their configurations. Not all programs need every bit of information provided here, but this way you have it when needed.

Incoming and outgoing mail servers (POP3 and SMTP)

POP server should be set to pop.gmail.com
    Server Requires an SSL (secure socket layer) connection
    Server port number is 995
SMTP server should be set to smtp.gmail.com
    Server Requires an SSL (secure socket layer) connection
    Server port number is 465
    Outgoing Server requires authentication/login.

E-mail username and password
POP3 username is your entire Email address and the password will be your 8 character or larger Email password.
