The Dispatch, The Rock Island Argus and The Leader today begin a month-long
look into the 21st Century. Though no one can say for sure how the
Quad-Cities will change in the next 100 years, everyone is certain it will
change -- in size, in character. Its institutions will develop and adapt,
the economy will shift to other sectors, and governments will cooperate and
merge.
This week reporters will explore the social issues facing the Quad-Cities in
the next century.
