Zach Johnson revisits championship clinching shot

2012 John Deere Classic champion Zach Johnson returns to the 18th-hole fairway bunker at TPC Deere Run, where last year he hit a 192-yard shot to within a foot of the cup during the sudden-death playoff. This time it took Johnson 3-attempts to come close to his tournament clinching shot.

Magic to Monster Trucks: 20 years of memorable moments. The iWireless Center has a rich history of entertainment apart from the musical acts which have performed in the building. The iWi has been the sight of numerous championship celebrations and historic winning streaks. The building has also been host to scores of Olympic champions in addition to NBA champions, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and the Harlem Globetrotters. Ever since the grand opening in 1993 the iWireless Center has been the epicenter of entertainment for the Quad-Cities area.

Easter vandal destroys Sacred Heart statue

The statue of Jesus Christ in front of Sacred Heart Church, on 5th Avenue in Rock Island, lays face down on Monday April 1, 2013 after it was vandalized at 9:21 p.m. Sunday. Rock Island police are currently reviewing security camera footage that shows a lone vandal knocking over the statue and then walking away.

Deer stranded on Lock & Dam 15 roller A female deer caught the attention of the Quad Cities Friday after a passerby noticed the stranded on one of the Lock & Dam 15 rollers. No rescue was attempted due to the extreme risk to human life. The deer was euthanized around 4:45 pm.
