Quad-Cities Online and Small Newspaper Group Internet Innovations - SNG II (divisions of the Small Newspaper Group) are looking for a highly motivated individual to sell online advertising in the Quad Cities area. Previous online or media (radio, television or yellow pages) advertising sales experience is desired and familiarity with the Internet/Web is mandatory.

Essential functions of the job require competent use of personal computers and related productivity and web applications, high level of written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills, multi-tasking and working effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must travel in/around the Quad Cities to meet with clients as required. Drivers must qualify under our Safe Driver requirements.

Compensation includes base weekly salary plus commission. Excellent benefit package.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter experienced in PHP programming, MySQL database design and web application development from the ground up. Duties include maintenance of existing web applications and development/programming of new applications and complete websites including administrative back-ends, feed integration with third party vendors and CMS systems. An understanding of CSS, standards compliant page design and layout, and cross browser compatibility are required. Experience with MVC frameworks is preferred. This position requires the ability to work and communicate well with other group members in a dynamic, growing environment of highly trafficked websites.

EXPECTED WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hrs./week; somewhat flexible daytime hours Monday-Friday; possible weekend hours if the workload requires
