Event: Clock Tower and Eagle Watch tours
Date: Every Sunday, Saturday, The Army Corps of Engineers offers Clock Tower and Eagle Watch tours from 9-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-2 p.m., Jan. 19-Feb. 10. Tours are conducted from the Mississippi River Visitor Center at Locks and Dam 15, on the west end of the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitors must be able to climb several flights of stairs. An adult must accompany ages 11 and under. Visitors should allow 15 minutes extra for vehicle security checks; those 17 and up must show a photo ID. Reservations are recommended; call (309) 794-5338 for details.

1988 -- 25 years ago: William G. Lawrence, first administrative director, has retired fromPECO Enterprises, Inc. Prior to his service at PECO, Mr. Lawrence was the civilianpersonnel officer at the Rock Island Arsenal.
