Date: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 A *Prenzie Players drink-through of Antigone* for the International Justice Mission** will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Midwest Writing Center, 225 E. 2nd St., Davenport. In this read-through, a moderator will assign roles which will change every scene. Roles will be cast without regard to suitability. No acting experience needed -- the goal is fun. Bring a beverage and a snack to share or hoard (optional). Bring a copy of the play if possible (some will be available). Suggested donation is $5. Call (563) 324-1410 or email for details.

Although she's been teaching for 43 years at the school, Miss Dayfound a new way of arriving at the school this morning. At 7:30 a.m., a police squad carpulled up in front of Miss Day's home and escorted her to school. A caravan of students' cars joined the procession along the way.
1988 -- 25 years ago: Barbecue cooking and riverfront antics are planned for Discover the
River Day Saturday in Leach Park, Bettendorf. A 5K run, wind surfing, a canoe race, hogcalling and more will round out the day under the Interstate 74 bridge.
