The City of Moline, Illinois is hereby seeking bids for the following project:
City of Moline Job No. 1178 -2013 SEALCOAT UPGRADES
Project work to include, but is not limited to: Residential pavement construction, including pavement, driveway, and sidewalk construction at 31st Street, Avenue of the Cities north 600 feet, and 11th Ave. A, 48th Street east to dead end. Sanitary sewer and services, as well as water main and services will be replaced at both locations. Storm sewer and structures will be installed at both locations.
As per 820 ILCS 130/1, prevailing wages will be required for this project.

BID PACKAGES may be obtained from the Engineering Division located at 3635 - 4th Avenue, Moline, IL.
Bidders shall submit their sealed bids to the City Engineer at 3635 - 4th Avenue, Moline, IL before 11:00 a.m. on June 4th, 2013 at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

ILLINOIS POLLUTION
CONTROL BOARD
NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
The Illinois Pollution Control Board gives notice of public hearing regarding rule changes proposed by the Board on May 16, 2013: National Ambient Air Quality Standards, USEPA Regulations (through December 31, 2012), R13-11. If the Board adopts the rules, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) will submit them to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) as proposed revisions to the Illinois State Implementation Plan (SIP) for carbon monoxide, lead nitrogen oxides, ozone, particulate matter, and sulfur oxides. The SIP contains Illinois' requirements to attain and maintain National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) to protect public health and the environment under the federal Clean Air Act and state Environmental Protection Act. The update is needed to ensure that Illinois' regulations reflect the USEPA's most recent NAAQS. Interested persons are invited to attend the hearings or to submit written comments. The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 11:00 am at the Sangamo Building, Room 1119N, 1021 North Grand Avenue, Springfield, Illinois. The hearing is subject to cancellation without notice and may be confirmed by calling the Office of the Clerk at 312/814-3461. A copy of the proposal for public comment is available for public inspection on the Board's website at http://www.ipcb.state.il.us/ and at the Clerk's Office, IPCB, Suite 11-500, Thompson Center, 100 West Randolph St., Chicago, IL 60601. The IEPA proposal is also available for public inspection at the Moline Public Library, 3210 41st Street, Moline, Illinois. Written public comments will be considered by the Board if submitted to the Clerk's Office (at the address above or electronically through "COOL" on the Board's website and received or U.S. Mail-postmarked by July 15, 2013.

1863 -- 150 years ago: The Rt. Rev. Harry I. Witherspoon, D.D. Bishop of Illinois, willpreach in Trinity (Episcopal) Church, in this city this evening.
1888 -- 125 years ago: At 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon the Mississippi River flooded itsbanks at Rock Island, destroying the warehouse of the Rock Island Lumber companyand damaging the Lumber Company and arsenal power plant. Total loss isestimated at $100.000.
1913 -- 100 years ago: Residents of South Rock Island township are circulating a petitionfavoring the annexation of that area to the city of Rock Island.
1938 -- 75 years ago: Mrs. Thomas Ackles, of Rock Island, has been elected president ofthe Playcrafters for the next season. She succeeds Warren Leonard.
1963 -- 50 years ago: Some 8,000 people filed through the gates of Rock Island Arsenal on Saturday to view a display of a part of the nation's armed strength. The occasion was theannual observance of Armed Forces Day.
1988 -- 25 years ago: Willis Kuschmann, of Moline, who already has won his laurels as oneof the most artistic men in the Quad-Cities area, has a new hobby. He is deeply involvedin miniature railroading. At the age of 88, when many other seniors are dozing in theirchairs or sitting before the television, Mr. Kuschmann is planning and working on hiscollection.
