Edwin "Gene" Swank, 83, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Elvaston, Ill., died on Nov. 11, 2012, at his home.
Graveside inurnment services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, at Rosedale Cemetery, Cambridge. The Rev. Randall Swanson will officiate.
Edwin was born to Francis and Freda Gunning Swank in Rock Creek, Ill. He worked for Swank Fertilizer and later owned Swank Farm Service in West Point, Ill. Gene moved to Florida in 1975.
Those surviving are his wife, Ann Knueppel Swank; his children, Jimme Swank, Hamilton, Ill., Donne "Harry" Swank, Carthage, Ill., Kein Wade, Hamilton, and Susan Weed, Tampa, Fla.; three stepchildren, Kip Dobbels, West Palm Beach, Fla., Gilbert Dobbels, Lincoln, Ill., and Ronnie Dobbels, Alpha; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
