The $3,934,211 upgrade to Building 1 began in June 2012. The redesign is meant to give students a "one-stop shop" experience for student services and includes a reorganization of the upper and lower lobbies and several offices, according to Black Hawk officials. The project is being paid for with bond funds. The addition houses an information desk, police substation, student advising and enrollment and a career service center.
