Letter: Media refuse to question president's errors, abuses
Comment on this story
What would you say if I told you the media were ignoring a case involving a child killer? Cases involving multiple murders normally make our televisions, and the front page of the newspapers in short order.
But this case is different. It involves abortionist Dr Kermit Gosnel who is accused of killing at least seven fetuses that were delivered alive during abortion procedures. Given its liberal bias, I can see why the press would ignore this case with focused diligence. That the babies were alive after the procedure speaks volumes about how far along the pregnancies had progressed.
That the good doctor allegedly proceeded to end their lives after they had survived the procedure that should have killed them raises questions liberals would prefer not to ask (themselves or anyone else). If the babies were viable after the procedure, what were they before? Is it OK in the eyes of liberals for "post-birth" abortion?
The press also does not want to tread on an area where the president's past record actually exists. While a senator in Illinois, Obama supported a procedure called "Live Birth Abortion" where the fetus would be born but then allowed to die. No care, no efforts to sustain life. In his comments he opposed rights for babies that survive abortions. He of course voted "present." (A good summary of the president's positions can be found in the Oct. 14, 2008 Witherspoon Institute article, "Obama's abortion extremism".)
There is no greater danger to our nation than a press that refuses to question an administration whose errors and abuses are legion; Fast and Furious, Benghazi, now this. Where is CNN? Where is the Chicago Tribune and the New York Times? Where is the Dispatch/Argus?
