The John Deere Store, at 1300 River Drive, Moline, has been named one of the state's top 10 gift shops by the 2013 Illinois Travel Guide.

"T-shirts with the iconic leaping-deer logo are faves as well as farm toys and logo-sporting blankets," reads the entry in the current travel guide.

The store stocks officially-licensed John Deere merchandise, including clothing, toys, books and collectibles. It's next to the John Deere Pavilion which has consistently been a top tourist attraction in the Quad-Cities and the state, welcoming more than 2.9 million visitors.

"We're honored to be among the most esteemed museum gift shops in Illinois," store manager Dave Anderson said Tuesday in a news release. "Our friendly staff is dedicated to providing a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for visitors from around the world, where our leaping deer trademark is always in sight."

He said most, if not all, Deere Pavilion visitors stop by the store. The 16-year-old pavilion underwent a near-total transformation last year, offering a new look at the company's global businesses and products, rich history and heritage.
