Jacqueline "Jackie" Patchin, 76, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at St. Anthony's Care Center, Rock Island.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline. Private family services and entombment will be held at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
Jackie was born Feb. 24, 1937, in Rock Island, the daughter of Harriett Curnyn Letts. She married Garold R. "Gary" Patchin Jr. on April 4, 1959, in Rock Island. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1955.
In earlier years, Jackie was employed at Service Rubber and the Rock Island Savings and Loan. She retired from the First National Bank of Rock Island after many years of service as a loan officer.
Jackie enjoyed many hobbies including ceramics, camping, bird-watching, playing cards and touring the U.S. with her husband, Gary, in their semi-truck. Jackie especially enjoyed spending time with her friends, grandchildren, and her loving dog, Ruffey. Jackie was a dear wife, loving mother, grandmother and wonderful friend. She will greatly be missed.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Gary; daughters, Randi Bruck, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kimber Bennett, Carlsbad, Calif.; son, Scott (Aleisha) Patchin, Rock Island; grandchildren, Jake, Boston, Lexi and Dax Bruck, Lauren Bennett and Wesley Wall; sister-in-law and brother in-law, Mary Ann and Jack Hennigan, Washington, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends and her Irish Setter, Ruffey. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother.
