New Bags Tournament supports Kiwanis projects

Moline, Illinois - The Moline Kiwanis Club wants you to Fling into Spring during their new bags tournament on Saturday, March 30, 2013. There is $500 dollars in prize money to be won!
This double-elimination bags tournament takes place in the parking lot behind Bent River Brewery, 1413 5th Avenue, Moline, Ill. Check-in starts at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at 12 noon. Early registration (by March 27) is $30 per two-person team. After March 27, registration is $35 per team.

Proceeds benefit the programs of the Moline Kiwanis Club.
The Moline Kiwanis Club is over 90 years old. They meet each Tuesday at 12 noon for lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1300 13th Street, Moline, Ill. Last year an Evening Club was started. It meets once a month at various Moline restaurants for people who are unable to come to lunch meetings, but want to be involved in a community service organization.
The Moline Kiwanis Club members have been involved in Toys for Tots, Salvation Army bell ringing, John Deere Classic volunteering, Moline Cleanup Day, Moline student tutoring and reading programs, Riverside Cemetery maintenance, spastic paralysis and cystic fibrosis research, and more. They support the Augustana College Circle K Club and Moline High School Key Club. Members participate in state, national, and international Kiwanis meetings.
