Rockridge junior forward Ethan Happ was named first-team Class 1A/2A All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. Happ, who last week earned Associated Press first-team All-State honors, was the only local player who earned the accolade.

Erie's Jacob Johnston, Wethersfield's Trevor Lay and Monmouth-Roseville's Martel Hunter were placed on the second team. Rockridge's Bryan Heath garnered third-team honors.

Earning special mention were Galva's Dexter Ingels, Riverdale's Jared Richmond, Kewanee's Donovan Oliver, Orion's Dylan Schultz and Monmouth-Roseville's Trayvon Smith.

Galva's Reece Hoxworth and Kewanee's Dayton Ince were honorable mention.
