Moline, Rocky land two on All-WB6 basketball team

League-champion Rock Island was one of three teams to place two members on the All-Western Big 6 Conference first team.

Rocky, Galesburg and Moline accounted for six of the eight first-team selections.

The Rocks, who won their fourth consecutive Big 6 title, have senior guard Brian Richardson and junior guard C.J. Carr on the first team.

Moline senior guard Drew Owens and junior forward Brandon Vice earned first-team status. Galesburg placed a pair of sophomores on the team, with league scoring champ Grant Gibson and Joe Williams.

Rounding out the first team were Alleman senior guard Adam Hoogerwerf and Quincy senior guard Martin Kvitle.

Honorable mention for Rocky's Raahsaan Brown, Keenan Shorter and Trey Sigel, Moline's Jed Wood, United Township's Lamont Mitchell and Galesburg's Travon Diggins.
