James and Carol Alexander, of Colona, were married on March 2, 1963, in Moline.They will be observing their 50th wedding anniversary with their family.
Their children are Tony (Brenda), Colona; Shelly (Brad), Silvis; and Stacy (Shane), Aledo. Their grandchildren are Janette, Nicholas, Emma and Baily. Their great-grandchild is Mackenzie.
James retired from John Deere Foundry after 32 years and also gave 25 years of service to the Colona Fire Department.
Carol is a homemaker.
