John J. Frazer, 32, of Silvis, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to sexual exploitation of a child and having materials that involved child pornography.
The charges stemmed from the posting of illicit photographs of a young girl on a Russian website.
Mr. Frazer was placed in the custody of the U.S. Marshal Services, pending a June 6 sentencing hearing in the Rock Island branch of the U.S. District Court for Central Illinois.
In August, agents from the Danish National Police traced the images to an IP address in the United States, and the Department of Homeland Security subsequently identified the user, according to court records.
The user had created several online albums, where he posted several photos of the young girl, according to records.
Police traced the user-name and IP address to Mr. Frazer's home address, where he was arrested on Aug. 27, records state.
