Construction was completed on January 31, 2013. A grand opening party and welcome reception with a Quad City Chamber ribbon cutting has been planned for February 15, 2013.

An earlier announcement stated that Miller Media Group, lead by Randal J, Miller, headquartered in Taylorville Illinois is selling Virden Broadcasting Corporation to Fletcher M. Ford, who has led Virden Broadcasting for the last six years.

In making this announcement, Fletcher M. Ford, says, "I am so pleased that our staff has such a wonderful place to work, and our guests have a great place to visit. The growth of our company is strong and we owe it all to our listeners and advertisers."

Office Specialists based in Galesburg serving the Quad Cities, Wayne Montgomery, and Done Right Satellite LLC were some of the contractors on the project.
