Rock Island police are investigating an incident early Wednesday in which as many as 15 shots may have been fired in the 1200 block of 12th Street. No one was injured.
Rock Island Deputy Police Chief Jason Foy said officers were called to the area at about 3:20 a.m. and found a house had been hit and several shell casings. No firearm was recovered.
He said witnesses reported hearing 10 to 15 shots, and seeing a sports utility vehicle leaving the area about the time of the incident.
The vehicle was reported last seen in Davenport, and police continue to investigate whether it has any connection to the morning incident.
