Elden E. Brooks, 89, of Davenport, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at his home.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Runge, Davenport. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial is at Davenport Memorial Park.
He was born July 28, 1923, in Cloud County, Kan., to William and Charlotte Brooks. He married Shirley Bohnsack Feb. 10, 1945. She died Dec. 26, 2011.
Surviving are daughter, Sandra (Robert) Gonzalez, Milan; grandchildren, Melanie Newman, Amy Balluff, Texas, Charles Balluff, Davenport; seven great-granddaughters.
