Rockridge cheerleaders take second in state

The Rockridge competitive cheer team placed second at the IHSA state meet at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington on Saturday. The Rockets were second by two-tenths of a point. Dwight was the small-school champion. This is Rockridge's first cheerleading state trophy and the school's first in any sport since 2007. The school will host a welcome-home ceremony in the south gym on Monday at 2:45 p.m.
