ALPHA -- A benefit is planned for Sandra Merideth, of Alpha, who is awaiting a lung transplant.
The event will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Alpha Methodist Church.

Ms. Merideth is on a lung transplant list and the nurture team committee from the church is in charge of planning for the benefit.

There will be a spaghetti meal with carry-outs available, as well as a silent auction with a drawing at 8 p.m. Anyone who would like to make donations for the silent auction or the event may contact Deb Briggs at 629-2221.
