CAMBRIDGE -- An Eaton, Colo., man has entered a negotiated guilty plea to Class 2 felony possession of cannabis, 2,000 to 5,000 grams.

Anthony Ulgiati, 36, was sentenced in Henry County Circuit Court to 36 months probation, 180 days in jail, a fine of $1,000 plus court costs, a drug assessment fee of $1,000 and street value fine of $10,000. His trial was to start this week.

Judge Ted Hamer accepted the plea agreement; a charge of possession with intent to deliver cannabis was dismissed. Mr. Ulgiati was given permission to transfer his probation to Colorado if it is accepted. The charges were filed on Oct. 29.
