Augustana World Hunger Day packaging event

Jennifer Schroder, is a senior at Augustana College. The curriculum for her Communication class requires service with a local non-profit organization with the culmination of a service project.

Jennifer partnered with Kids Against Hunger – Your Quad Cities and her term project is a World Hunger Day packaging event. The goal is to help organize 35 volunteer teams, to pay for and package, 50,000 Kids Against Hunger meals.

The Event will be held on February 2nd at The Center (Brady and 14th Street Davenport). Six teams per hour are scheduled from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm.

Currently 27 teams are registered. The cost for one team of 12-13 is $360. Online registration can be done via the Home page at www.kahqc.com .

The food will go to Nicaragua, Honduras or Haiti and local Quad City food pantries.
