Students play Dodgeball for Diapers for Catholic Schools Week!
Davenport, Iowa – January 28, 2013 – Students at Scott County's Catholic schools will have lots of fun this week while helping the children served by Bethany for Children & Families.
Students will donate diapers to participate in each school's "Dodgeball for Diapers" tournament. The administrators at the schools anticipate that hundreds of packages of diapers will be delivered to Bethany. The donations will be used for children in multiple programs at Bethany, including foster care and child welfare services.
Bethany staff will be present at St. Paul's the Apostle School on Tuesday, January 29th at 1:30 p.m. to watch the students in action. Julie Delaney, Principal at St. Paul's, said "each year for Catholic Schools Week, we seek an opportunity for the student to help locally. We are glad to give back to Bethany, a local organization that does so much for area children."
Dodgeball tournaments will be held all week at Scott County Catholic Schools to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of the high quality, faith based education the nation's Catholic schools provide. The observance is scheduled for January 27 to February 2, 2013.
