Why watch: The start of the second half of the Western Big 6 Conference slate has United Township trying to avenge a 58-43 loss to the Blue Devils at the Panther Den. Quincy has won the last two meetings, but the Panthers won in their last appearance at Blue Devil Gym. ... UT enters the game on its second six-game losing streak of the season. The last time the Panthers entered a contest on that same streak, they earned a 60-56 win at Alleman. "I expect us to play well," UT coach Marc Polite said. "We've had a good week of practice." ... In its last two Big 6 games, UT has lost by 10 points. "We've shown flashes," Polite said. "But in order to win in this league, you have to play a complete game. We're getting close to that. We're still moving in the right direction. Hopefully, we can get over this hump." ... Quincy is 2-3 in its last five games.
United Township coach Marc Polite: "It's going to be a unique experience — it always is. But our kids will be fine. I don't think it will be different than playing any other game this year."
Quincy coach Sean Taylor: "We are looking forward to the second half of the Western Big 6 season. Our players are very excited to compete against United Township."
