Jim and Kathy Schott, Geneseo, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner on Jan. 19 in Phoenix, Ariz., and a trip to Australia in October.
Kathy Jinks, Rock Island, and Mr. Schott, Moline, were married on Jan. 19, 1963, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island.
Their children are Dr. Michael Schott, Moline; Susan Viola, Las Vegas; and Steven Schott, Moline. They have four grandchildren.
Mr. Schott was employed as a mason contractor at Schott & Welch Masonry, retiring in 2004 after 35 years.
Mrs. Schott was employed at Sentry Insurance, retiring in 2004 after 15 years.
