Davey Lee Kugler, 50, of Benton, Ill., and a former resident of Aledo, passed away 2:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his home.
It was Mr. Kugler's wish to be cremated. Services will be held at a later date. Morton & Johnston Funeral Home, Benton, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 4, 1962, in Aledo, the son of Lyle E. and Patricia Secrest Kugler.
Mr. Kugler was a veteran, serving in the Marines.
He was an LPN working in various nursing homes in the Benton area. He was an avid bowler and fisherman, and was an excellent cook.
Mr. Kugler is survived by his son, Anthony Kugler, Benton; daughter, Christina Taylor, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; fiancee, Linda Sanders, Benton; mother, Tricia Mueller, Herrin, Ill.; father, Lyle Kugler, Aledo; six grandchildren; five brothers, Eric Kugler, Jeremy Mueller, Steven Syler, Mark Kugler and Adam Kugler; two sisters, Becky Pearson and Annie Kugler. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lyle Kugler Jr. and Scott Syler; a sister, Beth Ann (Syler) Smith; a nephew, Austin Kugler; an aunt, Nina Crawford; his father who raised him, Larry Mueller; and a cousin, Terry Polson.
