Charles A. Stuebe, 65, of Illinois City, was killed Monday night when he lost control of his pick-up truck in the 16500 block of 78th Ave. West, about three miles west of Andalusia.
The cause of death is still under investigation, according to Rock Island County Chief Deputy Coroner John Neary on Tuesday. No autopsy is expected to be performed and toxicology reports are pending, he said.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m., when the man, driving westbound on Illinois Route 92, lost control of his 2008 Toyota pick-up. The truck moved across the eastbound lanes and drove into a ditch on the south side of 78th Avenue West, rolling over once, the sheriff's department reported.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, deputies said.
