22nd QUAD CITIES FARM SHOW, JAN. 20 - 22 AT THE QCCA EXPO CENTER AN EARLY SPACE SELL-OUT
Over 200 ag companies will totally fill all of the available space at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island, Illinois as the 22nd annual Quad Cities Farm Equipment Show opens for its three day run, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, January 20 thru 22. According to Show Manager Richard Sherman, "The emphasis this year will cleary be on the upcoming planting season. We believe that area farmers will turn out strongly to see and order what theyʼll need for planting, from equipment, to seeds, chemicals, soil treatments, and fertilizers, Of course, they will also have the opportunity to talk finance and crop insurance.
All of our exhibit space is now sold out, with an outstanding group of ag manufacturers, dealers and suppliers on hand to show everything thatʼs new in the industry. For the third year in a row, we have continued our policy of rationing space so that we could fit new companies into the show. We have had to tell companies who were returning that they would have to fit into a smaller space or else we would have to turn away good farm companies, which we did not want to do. By doing this, we were able to fit twenty-one new companies into the show last year, and another twelve in this year. Itʼs what keeps a show fresh and exciting each year for show visitors, not just new products from past exhibitors but new products from companies who have never exhibited here before.
From our experience at our recently concluded show in Indianapolis, which had itʼs largest attendance in years, we anticipate a very good show in the Quad Cities. Despite the devastation of the drought, farm income remains very high, and attendance and buying at all of the farm shows has exceeded past years. And visitors to this yearʼs show will see what is undoubtedly the best product show in our 22 year history.
Among the larger displays in the show will again be the Case IH display, the New Holland display by Kunau Implement, a large Agco display, the Blu-Jet display by Brokaw Supply and Tim Rogers Repair, the Salford display by Dambman Service, the John Deere display by River Valley Turf of Davenport, Martin Equipment, IIlini Sprayers and Fertilizer Dealer Supply, part of a great display of self-propelled sprayers, along with displays from Vernʼs Farm Systems, Yarger Machinery Sales, Wingfield Manufacturing, VandeVoorde, Z & J Equipment, Hardi Midwest, Calmer Corn Heads, FS Grain Systems, Friedman Distributing, Correct Truck and Trailer, Gingrich Enterprises, a first time exhibitor showing seed tenders and scrapers and Iowa Farm Equipment, featuring utility trailers, mowers and Deutz tractors. We have good short line representation and a very good mix of products including long line, seeds, chemicals, supplies, technology, crop insurance, stoves and financial services. Area farmers are going to see a very good show" Show admission and parking are all free and the show hours are Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closing day, Tuesday, January 22, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The QCCA Expo Center is located at 2621 Fourth Ave. in Rock Island, and it is easiest to take 5th Ave. and then turn left at 26th St. on to 4th Ave. at the Expo Center parking lot.
