Wanda Fausett, 82, of Aledo, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Aledo United Methodist Church. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church or the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 126. Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo, assisted the family with arrangements.
Wanda was born Jan. 25, 1930, in Greene Township, the daughter of Earl and Sylvia Anderson Thompson. She married Jim Fausett on Aug. 8, 1954, in Aledo. He died on Oct. 10, 2012.
Wanda retired as a bookkeeper and secretary for LaFever and Duncan Implement Company. She was a member of the Aledo United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 126. She enjoyed scrapbooking and collecting bells and salt and pepper shakers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers, Claire (Marilyn) Thompson, Edgington, Earl "Bud" Thompson, Aledo, Carl (Betty) Thompson, Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Verla Thompson, Aledo, Kathleen (Chuck) Leary, Little York, Eleanor "Curly" McAtee, Metropolis, Ill.; and brothers-in-law, Jerry (Joan) Fausett and Rodney (Gloria) Fausett, both of Aledo, Hubert Brown, Rock Island; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and sister-in-law, Nancy Brown.
