John A. "Jack" Pickering, 84, of Kewanee and Neponset, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Kewanee Hospital.
Cremation was accorded. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Schueneman-Tumbleson, Kewanee. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Jack was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Kewanee, to Clarence and Helen Pickering. He married Shirley Stabler Aug. 21, 1949. She died March 1, 2003.
Surviving are daughters, Pam Currier, Lisa Kemerling, Neponset; son, Gregg, Kewanee; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
