An 86-year-old Moline man who has been charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Rock Island County Circuit Court. Louis DiIulio,of 2901 15th Ave, appeared briefly in court to submit his written waiver. A preliminary hearing is held following the issuance of formal charges to determine whether there is enough factual evidence to proceed to trial. By waiving his right to a preliminary hearing, Mr. DiIulio's case will continue to a pretrial conference, scheduled for Feb. 15. Mr. DiIulio was not arrested or issued a bond, following the charge filed on Dec. 11, and he remained out of the Rock Island County Jail on Wednesday evening.
