William L. Hillyer, 72, of Bettendorf, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Trinity Bettendorf.
Private family services will be held.
Bill was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Bushnell, Ill., the son of Blake and Letha Helms Hillyer. He married Jacqueline A. Smith Feb. 25, 1961.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie; daughters, Debra L. Posey, Davenport, Lori Vearrier, Terre Haute, Ind., and Robi (Rick) Scheel, Davenport; son, Rodney Vearrier, Colona; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sue (Eliseo) Reyes, Moline.
