Violet A. Caldwell, 76, of Moline, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
The former Violet Ann Palmer was born June 27, 1936, in Galva, to Leonard A. and Agnes Robertson Palmer. She married Charles Caldwell in 1963, and the couple later divorced.
She had been employed in the cafeteria at Moline High School and John Deere Junior High School. She enjoyed animals, especially her cat, Lucy, and going for walks.
Violet is survived by three children, Wayne Kenney, Moline, Tim Caldwell, Peoria, Ill., and Melissa Caldwell, Rock Island; two grandchildren, Britta and Kerstin Caldwell; her mother, Agnes Palmer, Moline; and her sister, Shirley Kelley, Moline. She was preceded in death by her father; and her brother, Raymond Perry.
