1912 -- 100 years ago: The 20th St. paving project between 2nd and 4th Aves. has beenapproved by Ben S. Bell in County Court.
1937 -- 75 years ago: Frank J. Huntoon is retiring after long service with the Tri-CityRailway Company. He was an assistant superintendent.
1962 -- 50 years ago: White flocked trees will encircle the floor of the Gold Room of theBlackhawk Hotel, Davenport, for the Catholic Charity Ball tomorrow evening. Addingto the holiday atmosphere will be green wreaths tied in red and silver ribbons. A buffetdinner will be served from 8:30 to 10 p.m. in the Gold Room West and the upper level ofthe Gold Room. Scott Clark's Orchestra will play throughout the dinner hours and fordancing until 2.a.m.
