Announcement is made of the engagement of Sara Blair and Sam Gerard, both of Minneapolis. She is the daughter of Linda Ward and Steve Blair, both of East Moline. He is the son of Beth and Richard Gerard, Blaine, Minn.
The couple will be married in September in Minneapolis.
Sara graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, Western Illinois University, Macomb, with a bachelor's degree in journalism and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, with a master's degree in mass communication. She is employed as a communications coordinator at Second Harvest Heartland.
Sam is employed at Planned Parenthood.
