Slumberland Furniture donates 20 new mattress sets to Bethany

Slumberland Furniture helps make "Homes for the Holidays" for local individuals in need with donation of 20 mattress sets to Bethany for Children & Families, Moline. - On December 18, 2012, Slumberland Furniture Stores of Davenport and Moline will donate to Bethany for Children and Families 20 new twin-size mattress sets. The donation is part of Slumberland Furniture's annual Making Homes for the Holidays program. At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, staff from Bethany for Children & Families will pick up the new beds from the Slumberland Furniture store in Davenport.
Jenny Hager, Vice President of Marketing and Development for Bethany for Children & Families, said, "this generous donation from Slumberland Furniture will ensure that twenty people in the Quad City area will no longer have to sleep on the floor during these cold winter months. The Making Homes for the Holidays program is an incredible and kind way of helping individuals in need - by making sure they are able to have a warm and restful night's sleep."
Bethany for Children & Families will identify people in need of beds and distribute them to those members of the community. Bethany is a not-for-profit agency that responds to the critical needs of Quad City area youth and families. Since 1899, the agency has provided quality services, contributed to innovative community collaborations, taken a leadership role in resolving community problems impacting families and children.
