George C. Monty, 59, Davenport, died Dec. 8, 2012, at the home of his good friend, Mark Patterson, in Birmingham, Iowa.
Cremation was accorded by Halligan-McCabe-DeVries, Davenport. Services will be private. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park.
He was born Oct. 2, 1953, in Salina, Kan., to George and Marie Karber Monty.
Survivors include his mother, Marie, Davenport; brother, Mark (Terry) Monty, Hamilton, N.Y.; sister, Diane Monty, Davenport; nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins, friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
