Bucktown Center Christmas activities

DAVENPORT -- Santa Claus will take a break from his busy schedule to visit Bucktown Center for the Arts on Dec. 1. He will be in the Midcoast Gallery on the second floor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Santa will also be visiting all of the Bucktown galleries along with the vendors of Handmade City on the third floor.
Children can shop for gifts in Imagine That! on the second floor from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday Dec. 1. A special selection of original artwork is priced under $5. This special art shop is open to children 12 and under.
Children may drop their letter to Santa in the North Pole mailbox on the second floor. Take a photo of them dropping off their letter then watch your home mailbox for Santa's reply. Santa promises to send a letter back to every good boy and girl so be sure to include your mailing address and drop your letters off on or before Dec. 17.
Bucktown Center for the Arts currently houses 17 unique shops and studios featuring creative, unusual, and usable works of art for sale from more than 100 regional artists. Founded in July 2005, Bucktown has played an important role in the continued growth of downtown Davenport's Cultural Arts & Entertainment District.
