H. Neil Summers, Rock Island, will be honored at an open house on Dec. 2 in observance of his 80th
birthday. Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 2 to 4 p.m. at City Limits, 4514 9th St., Rock Island. Please use the back-porch entrance.
He was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Rock Island. He married Luella Vyncke, Silvis, on May 5, 1956, at St. Anne's, East Moline.
Their children are Jill (Rick) DeBlieck, Hampton; Jim Summers and Brendan Young, Port Byron; Terri (Roger) Jared, Dawn (Wade) Camlin, and Ann (Justin) Martel, all of Rock Island. There are 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Summers was owner of WF Scott Decorating Inc., retiring in 2006.
He is a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island.
