The Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) "Fur-ever" Friends Pet Care Riddles & Tips for Kids book

(Milan, IL) – The Quad City Animal (QCAWC) is excited to release our Pet Care Riddles & Tips for Kids book, "Fur-ever" Friends. This project was made possible by grant funding received from The Rock Island Community Foundation. "Fur-ever" Friends was written by Stacey Teager, QCAWC Community Services Director, Dee Anderson and Linda Taylor QCAWC volunteers, illustrated by Rock Island High School Art Students and designed courtesy of Mary Talbert. The Quad City Animal Welfare Center created "Fur-ever" Friends to teach children proper pet care. Research shows reading aloud to children teaches compassion and strengthens their reading skills. Books will be read and donated to schools, libraries, and community organizations through out the Quad Cities. To schedule a reading of "Fur-ever" Friends, contact the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. QCAWC's community services director or a volunteer will visit your classroom or community organization to read "Fur-ever" Friends and donate a copy of it to your classroom. Additional copies of "Fur-ever" Friends are available for a $5.00 donation at the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, on our website www.qcawc.org and Exotic Imports at Southpark Mall. All proceeds from "Fur-ever" Friends benefit QCAWC. The QCAWC is located at 724 W. 2nd Ave. Milan, IL 61264. Visit our website at www.qcawc.org.
