Letter: Lost cell phone reminds us angels are everywhere
Comment on this story
I was running errands on my half-hour lunch.
After my errands at Lowe's and picking up my sandwich, I realized my cell phone had not made a noise for several minutes which is unusual. It is my brand new Galaxy business phone and has over 1,000 numbers in it.
In a panic, I went back to Lowe's. I was told no one found a phone. I went to Panera's. No luck. Went back to my office and realized I could not even call anyone for help as all their numbers are in my phone! I could not even call a friend!
Then an angel friend, Rochel Rittgers showed up at the office. We called my phone and it was not in my car. She volunteered to stay at the office and take care of any clients who came in so I could drive back to Lowe's all the while, calming myself saying the universe would take care of me.
I walked into Lowe's and sure enough some kind and loving person found it in the parking lot and turned it in. Lowe's was keeping it safely in a drawer.
There are angels and wonderful people everywhere. The person could have kept the phone and Lowe's could have too. But everyone today was honest and kind.
I may never know who you were but want to express my deep gratitude for your kindness and consideration to the person who found it and turned it in and to Lowe's for keeping it safe for me. I am forever grateful and many of my clients will be also.
