Kewanee man takes plea agreement

CAMBRIDGE — Justin Padilla, 35, of Kewanee, pleaded guilty Wednesday to Class 4 possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 33 months in prison, one year mandatory supervised release, court costs and a $140 street value fine.

The court dismissed charges of Class 1 felony criminal drug conspiracy, Class 1 felony manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance containing heroin and Class 1 felony knowing possession with intent to deliver 1-15 grams of a substance containing heroin. Charges were filed May 24.
Judge Charles "Casey" Stengel accepted the plea.
