Five patients have claimed they were touched inappropriately by Moline gastrologist Norman F. Williams, police testified on Tuesday.
Mr. Williams, 66, of Silvis, has pleaded innocent to six counts of criminal sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual abuse.
One male and four females, one claiming the assaults occurred on three separate occasions, have told police they were sexually fondled by the doctor during a patient visit, Moline Police Detective Marcella O'Brien testified at a preliminary hearing on Tuesday in Rock Island County Circuit Court.
Mr. Williams' license was temporarily suspended by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation, beginning in August. He remained out on bond on Tuesday evening and is due to appear in court on Dec. 20 for a pretrial conference.
