Joe "Hob" Cantrell, Carbon Cliff, will be honored at an open house in celebration of his 80th birthday
on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Carbon Cliff United Methodist Church Hall, 106 2nd St.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 2 to 5 p.m. Your presence is the only gift required.
Mr. Cantrell was born on Nov. 13, 1932, in Hamilton, Ala. He married Florence Anton onDec. 5, 1953.
His children and spouses are Joe and Jessica, Danny, Lonnie, Todd and LisaCantrell and Patti and Mike VanDeWoestyne. He also is blessed with 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cantrell worked at John Deere Planter Works for more than 10 years and he, together with his wife,
Florence, have owned and operated Cantrell's Body Shop, Garage & Towing in Carbon Cliff for more than 50years. He is a Silvis Optimist Club member and also served as a Carbon Cliff firefighter for many years.
