Carol Moss, Rock Island, will celebrate her 85th birthday with her family.
The former Carol Stephenson was born on Nov. 9, 1927, in Clay Center, Neb. She married Phil Moss on Feb. 12, 1947, in Minatare, Neb. He died Feb. 9, 2010.
Her children are Timothy (Helen) of Davenport; Jon and Sherry, Moline; and Mark and Ann, Lincoln, Neb. She has seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was employed at Lutheran Hospital, Moline, retiring from Trinity Medical Center.
