Franklin and Anna Mae Byers, Moline, will be honored with an open house Oct. 27, 2012, in observance of their 65th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bethel Wesley Methodist Church, 1201 13th St., Moline. No gifts, please.
Anna Mae Wangelin, Milan, and Mr. Byers, Coal Valley, were married Oct. 30, 1947, at Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian, Milan.
Their children are Betty Byers, Moline; Donald Byers, Coal Valley; LeRoy Byers, Moline; and John Byers.They have six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and are expecting a great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Byers was employed as a farmer at Hayman Farms, retiring in 1986 after 32 years. Mrs. Byers was employed as an assembler at Maytag, retiring in 1990 after 17 years.
They are members of Bethel Wesley Methodist Church, Moline.
